How does the application process work?

Once a person has met medical eligibility to enter the medical marijuana program then my practice works with each individual patient to ensure that all state and medical documentation has been uploaded for the state’s review. Once the state receives all required documentation, including a picture of the patient applying for the medical marijuana card, which will be placed on the medical card (card is similar to a driver’s license), the state will review the application for the card. Provided all state required documentation is appropriate, an approval will be issued by the state of New Jersey (approval time may vary tremendously; my office will inform each individual applicant of the expected time for approval).

Once the application has been approved by the state, my office staff will be notified and subsequently a patient who has been approved by the state will be notified by my office.


What if my address changes or I lose my card?

Changes of address or loss of a card must be reported immediately to my office in order for the appropriate office staff to notify the state.


What state documents will I need for the application process?

All state required documents are not negotionable with the state; for example, certain types of identification such as a passport cannot be accepted by the state. The practice manager of my office will provide
